After So Lengthy (English Translation)

Jae:
Awake at 10 am however off the bed at midday,
I need to be right here the place I lose myself in these sheets
Glancing by means of half-shut eyes
On the gold urgent previous my window
The glimmer remarks on the ledge of my mattress
However the voices are so loud
Like mud gathering within the nook of my room
I’m unaware to why I’m nonetheless right here
With the chilling doubt of the breeze…
I’m swept into lucidity After so lengthy

Dad:
Mil rahi hoon mein aaj iske saang barso baad,
(Right now, I’ll be assembly them after so lengthy)
Koi paata nahi diya tune
(However with no vacation spot sight,)
Kya karu?
(What ought to I do?)
Kaha jau?
(The place ought to I’m going?)
Shayad agar mein chalne lagoon,
(Maybe, if I maintain strolling)
Inn yaadon ki safar mein
(Down this highway of reminiscences)
Mujhe samajh mein ayega,
(I’ll discover out)
Yeh rasta kahaan jayega,
(The place this highway leads)
Inn aari tedhi pakadandiyon pe baarte hello jaana hai,
(By the twists and turns of this winding roads, I need to maintain occurring)
Mujhe mil na hain aaj uske saath,
(I want to meet them right this moment)
Barso baad.
(After so lengthy)

Simha:
I really feel like I’m retracing my footsteps
From these concrete stretches
To damaged cement partitions
Chips and cracks forge their means for brand new designs
I see the outdated deserted buildings
That when held the heat of our bodies
Now simply maintain reminiscences
Supporting the character’s resilience
In vines and moss
After so lengthy

Mother:
Dhoondli shishe mein jaaga leli hai
(These isty mirrors have supplied refuge)
Bikhri hui laatao ne,
(To those scattered vines)
Zameen pe uchi ghaas pe
(Amidst the tall grass stretching from the bottom)
Lehrati kamsan kaliyaa
(The swaying little buds)
Bheeni bheeni khushboo bikhereti
(Spreading honeysuckle scent by means of the air)
Phir wahi mausam,
(I lose myself in reminiscing, the identical season)
Wahi dil,
(The identical coronary heart)
Baarso baad.
(After so lengthy)
Phir bhi mein chal rahi hoon aaj
(Nonetheless, I maintain carrying on right this moment)
Khudko khudse milane ke liye
(Within the pursuit of my greater self)
Inn galiyo se guzarna hain aaj
(I need to cross by means of these streets right this moment)

(I need to maintain occurring right this moment)
Kabhi hum milenge kisi mor paar
(Sometime, we’ll meet once more, someplace on this highway)
